Northern Clubs League
This was our first game in the Northern Clubs League and what a first game, against Oldham Premier. The first quarter ended 7 - 12 to Oldham. Considering Oldham played some of their Superleague players, I thought we competed very well. The second quarter went pretty much the same way. Kerriane Cawley from our U16's played WD and was outstanding. She worked extremely hard and certainly wasn't phased playing against older and more experienced players. Score 14 - 25 Oldham. Charlotte Fairclough & Michaela Fletcher were very strong throughout the game. Their circle defence work was very impressive and helped keep the third quarter score 9 - 12 to Oldham, making the overall score 23 - 37 The final quarter was just end to end netball, with consistantly solid performances in all areas of the court from our girls. The final quarter finished 10 - 10, with an overall win for Oldham of 47 - 33 Player of the match voted by Oldham goes to Michaela Fletcher. WELL DONE!
