Turnford U 11s Tournament.

16 under 11s girls, nine from the A team and seven from the B, travelled to Turnford in London.

The B team had only ever played four seven a side games, having just moved up from high fives and they managed to come top of their qualifying group.

They then went on to face Diamonds in the quarter finals narrowly losing 4-3 but a fantastic effort showing huge promise for the future.

The u11 B girl of the tournament went to Grace Sloane.

The A team also enjoyed the tournament. Losing to the hot favourites and hosts in the first game of the qualifying, they finished second in the group.

They went on to win their quarter finals against Hadfield Robbins 6-4 then came across the Diamonds in the semis, who were fresh from their recent victory against the B team.

A strong showing from our girls however meant they ran out worthy winners at 7-0 to meet Turnford once again but this time in the final.

An exiting game saw goals go with centre, until it was 6-6 with one minute to go, Turnford managed to turn our centre and score, 7-6 to Turnford with thirty seconds to go Turnford then scored off their centre to make the score 8-6 as the final whistle blew. A great effort.
